Day 5
Descent through the 33 Parrots, turquoise Köl-Suu
Today begins the most remote and adventurous section of the expedition.
Leaving Son-Kul behind, you'll travel through the vast Ak-Sai Valley - a wild high-altitude region surrounded by dramatic mountain scenery and endless open landscapes.
The road leads through isolated nomadic territories where herds of horses, yaks and sheep roam freely across the plains.
Along the way you'll pass the impressive Kok-Kiya Canyon with its massive cliffs and untouched natural beauty.
By evening, you'll arrive at a traditional yurt camp near the remote Kel-Suu Lake.
