| About Us We are Vadim and Ekaterina Shkil - a family and the founders of ShkilFam Tours. For us, travel is not just a job. It is our lifestyle, our freedom, and something we cannot imagine our lives without. I, Vadim, was born in Kyrgyzstan, close to the mountains, in one of the residential districts of Bishkek. Since childhood, I spent almost every day in the mountains - hiking with my dog, doing sports, exploring new trails. Nature has always been my place of strength. Later, I moved to the Netherlands to study and graduated from university, but I realized that without the mountains I felt incomplete. Even though my parents stayed in Europe, I returned to this incredible country, because this is where I truly feel at home. I have been snowboarding for more than 20 years, riding mountain bikes all my life, and I am passionate about enduro. I work as a driver and guide, create photo and video content, fly drones, and constantly search for new routes and hidden locations. I am also a proud father of two amazing daughters. Life without adventure in the mountains is simply not life for me. I do not enjoy the noise and rush of big cities - I always choose the road that leads to nature. Ekaterina fully shares this passion. She is also from Kyrgyzstan and deeply in love with the mountains. She rides bikes and snowboards, works as a driver and guide, and is a professional photographer and videographer. She owns her own photo studio, where she creates visual content and teaches others. Thanks to her, our guests take home not only memories but also authentic, emotional photos and videos. Our journeys started long before we began creating tours. It was our everyday life: weekends in tents, spontaneous off-road trips, nights by mountain lakes, sunrise moments in the wild, traveling with our children and our dog. Today, we simply share this lifestyle with the people who travel with us. We don’t just show popular places. We take you to the locations where we go with our own family, the places we return to again and again. For us, it is important that you feel not like tourists, but like friends.
